I had Dunlop LeMans, 185/60r14 on the car. Silica compound, got very sticky and heated up well at the drags. Didn't last very long on the front though. I think they were around $100 each.
Hey all
looking for any advice on places to buy cheapish grippy 195 or 185 60 14 tyres i'm looking at doing the odd sprint day but mainly hills runs so a good quality UHP tyre or medium/ hard compound semi slick would suit the job.
looking at
1. Price.
2. Brand
3. Experience you have had with them (good and bad)
4. Availability
5. Life (approx kms)
Any help is welcome
Cheers Rob

Thanks mate. Forgot to add
6. Would you buy them again?
I bought myself a cheap set of R888 GG Toyo's (185/60 R14) second hand and I used them on the track last weekend. I will never take my 71 out on the track again without semi's. I will buy a new pair for the front once the current ones get closer to the end of their life. I will get them new through Tyrepower for around 250 each when the time comes. I paid 150 for the second hand set on a once off right place right time situation. Used semi's > any street designed tyre I've ever driven on.
Would love semi's but $250ea isn't possible just yet...
That's why you start off with second handy's. Keep your eyes peeled on egay, shit pops up. Even second hand semi's rule over street tyres.
adrenalines are good can get them just about anywhere, can remember the exact price though, but their always highly recommended anywhere and i found them extremely surprising through the hills.
4-ac stock sprinter.
direct from bridgestone outlets they are $120
or less if you get em fitted elsewhere
thanks guys probably just stick with re001 for price/grip trade off
ok so Bridgestone don't make Re001 in 185 60 14 any more i rang the local dealer and the warehouse apparently the only ones available are ones left on dealers shelves
