does the shifter hole need to be moved? how much massaging is needed for it to fit? build thread page reference with pics?

Yes it does. There's one picture in my build thread that shows how far - it's not from my car, but the exact same conversion in japan.
I refused to bash my tunnel, so i just used lower engine mounts and a 10mm subframe spacer. It might fit just with some hammering, but i don't know/care to find out haha
