Spend money on paint, can always upgrade diff later
All depends on how you drive it, and what purpose you designed and built it for. Street car, good paint and live with gears.

MOPAR or no car!
Its just wasting a lot of fuel driving highway at 3000 revs. I can get it just over 2600 with the 3.58, the stock Camry does 2400 at 100. I want to do long road trips in it in the future. I think the gearing change would lift economy by about 35 percent, it uses a lot more fuel at 3000 than 2600, and the range is important looking towards road trips.

Exactly.
Im such a gear head I just ordered the diff and havent even got the paint quote yet.
Might have been said but are you running closed loop with a decent o2 sensor ? Surley on cruise with decent closed loop setup the fuel efficiency difference can't be that high ?
If you wanted to go uber mileage like those weirdo hanky fellas could always consider using the j160 6speed but get funky and use the s15 final drive. It's the longest I believe at something like .73 ? No doubt s a lot of fucking round but worth a thought bubble lol

Thanks Pat. I've got the 3.583 final drive ordered and the car will be retuned pretty soon after its 11:1 and that will help. I haven't been running closed loop because I've been logging and tuning the whole time.
Got one of dellows last ones of these 19 inch w5x housings.
