think there is a pickup in the usa, a certain model of tacoma that has a bell that fits rwd layout, goes to a either a w or r box. clutch wise would depend on the bolt spacing and what its like originally, obviously the flywheel has its radius on the wrong side for the starter, still work, but noisy, use standard ecu/adaptronic, engine mounts are no biggy, looks like it has clearance to fit pretty well.

Yeah, Im looking into reverse mounted starters (which is the correct way around for this engine anyhow, and will suit the flywheel. I might make a hybrid bellhousing rather than machine motor after motor to accept a starter like a 4age. It will be low mounted if I do it from the bellhousing side so cleaner looking bay and lower centre of gravity, also more between the wheels.

Im fitting my AE111 ITBs to it, and will invest some good money in a really well made manifold for it. the inlet ports are like a more spaced out bigport flat sided oval, so the manifold will have to adapt the shape much like a bigport from the circular itb butterfly to the oval port. The throttles will need to be centred over the ports also, and can point upwards a few degrees to aim better at the port and clear the clutch master and brakes.

Still dunnio exactly what gearbox fits it. I just hope I can use the flywheel and clutch I have in the end.

The motor is obviously here now, and Ive assessed its condition. Im comfortable to say its almost 100 percent new. It has been run. It has very light carbon deposits in the exhaust manifold, the spark plugs are nice and golden, the ports are clean, the ignition coils have no corrosion, the clutch isnt worn, its just a perfect motor. It spins over super smooth, you can still feel light friction in the water pump from the seals before really being spun. There is no water in the motor and no sign of it. There is a crappy pricing gun sticker with a date on it on the sump. November 2007. Im guessing it was a demo car motor that got rear ended or dropped off the truck pre delivery, I cant imagine any other reason to remove a motor this fresh. I imagine if the motor had really gotten hot, it would have melted the sticker off the sump in a snap.
