Facelift T Series diff in non 86?

I've got an '88 Carina Surf wagon with a live axle, drum brake T series rear end.

I'm trying to find a standard ae86 lsd to put in it, but it occurred to me that it may be a larger facelift rear due to the age.

Any ideas?

Just measure the axels, I'm fairly sure that is the only way to tell. Or maybe late T series were disc only?
