    Default Sunshine Coast Area - Anyone handy with rust removal and welding up holes?

    Hey folks,

    I'm building up my 86 at the moment and I have come across a nasty rust hole. I was wondering if anyone is good at fixing rust? I'm reluctant to use bog =/ which is the easy way out.

    If anyone can help me out I'm in the maroochydore area over the weekend.

    Contact on 0406 0000 96

    Thanks,
    Ben =)

    the hole is at the bottom of the strut tower where it meets the chassis rail it's about 20mm by 60mm approx, seems like fuel has rotted the metal away.

    Sounds good biggo, how thick is too thick for the metal I have access to 3mm plate at work? The car is on stands to so it isn't really driveable is that a problem?

    I use 1.2 zinc coated sheet for rust repairs. 3mm is far to heavy for it to mate well, cut, fit. I thought i had some sheet but i cant find it.

    Car on stands is not biggie, im in yandina.
