FWIW, the adapter is a modified K motor van one from Malaysia. First box could be RA60, second SA63 but really a few possibilities. The trans mount is pretty much universal so no problem there. Any kelpro book can help.
Car - Charmant
motor / part in question - W series gearbox
problem - Identification
Bought a W5# and adaptor yesterday and looking to id the gearbox and adaptor bell as I need to get a mounting for this and curious about the bell.
Think the rear of bell to shifter was 21" but forgot to write it down but was told it was a W58 and the center piece is steel
I also got this W5# from a CE70 which has a 19" shifter position is it much of a job to replace shifter setups?
This also needs a mounting.
Thanks for any help.

Thanks. Is it just the NA jza80 W58 that has a different bolt pattern for the mounting, as I fell into that trap before so want to get the right one this time.
No Kelpro here in Ireland unfortunately and cars OE with w5# are scarce enough here.
yeah any W shifters are interchangeable (apart from the "remote" ones like you said). You have to change the top 6 bolt plate and the selector seat as a set, which requires taking the extension housing off.
12371‑34030 is a genuine number that will work. You guys seem to get genuine parts for next to nothing over there anyway

An interesting point I heard: C series motors are basically a diesel S series. This means that the C bellhousing will bolt up to an S engine. So you can sell it to someone doing a RWD 3S conversion.
I haven't checked it myself, but could mean you can get a decent price for that bellhousing.
The motors are a fair bit different but it is true they have the same bell housing bolt pattern.
Cheers for both of those.
We get raped for parts compared to the UK that damn Irish must be expensive to cross.
I'll have to keep an eye out for a cheap 3S so, does it mount it upright or at like 60* or whatever the 3S sits at in a Celica etc.?
If you want to run a RWD 3SGE it would be advisable to find yourself the mounts, sump pan and oil pickup from an SA60 or similar RWD 1S or 2S engine. If you try uprighting a 3SGE without the sump and pickup you'll starve it of oil. The easiest option is a Altezza BEAMS engine, already rwd, and improved oil return from the head for being upright and with VVT-i
The box from behind the C engine is most likely to be a W56:
The same as a W55 with shorter first and second to suit the diesel.
