Default 4age loom and ecu differences

Hey guys, I have a 83 adm sprinter with a bigport, trying to figure out what loom I have.
I have an at141 ecu, and the ignitor and dizzy part numbers result with nothing in searches.

Main reason for asking is I have a power fc to suit an ae86) plugs in but won't actually start it.
(yes I should go get it tuned but don't want to waste money where it's not needed, getting there and the tuner saying he can't do anything with it)

Soo any info regarding differences between rwd looms and such

    Cheers

If it's a bigport then there are not too many differences between the years/models. However in approx 1988 they changed to slightly bigger injectors with a resistor pack so that may differ slightly, however it still should run (just not well).

The main differences would be the body plug (3rd ecu plug, 14pin?) These change dependant on the year as more features were added to the ecu. These should not really have any influence.

There's no resistor pack anywhere, I don't have a sensor right after my filter (my mates set up did) and his ignitor wouldn't fit my loom (plug size) and my alternator has a square plug. Confusing the hell out of me.
The PFC apparently has a safe 16v tune allready but won't run my engine so just hoping I'm not missing a vital sensor I should have or something

Btw I just installed itbs, not helping my situation but I couldn't resist with the setup just looking at me!!

But yeah any insight to these differences would be awesome, other standard ecus DO work on my car but my ecu wouldn't run my mates bigport.

Yeah should mention map sensored only are the same between 83-88 feb. Pretty much if its got grey square injectors and a map sensor it's the most common one and is the same as an ae86 in most ways.

Ignitors come in different shapes, sizes, colours, plug styles etc. They are all the same internally and have the same external wiring. Most bigports have a green round plug, others have two/three round plugs (green or grey), some have an oval plug (similar to smallport) etc.

Ah awesome, I had grey injectors and map, has green 220 or 250cc now to make up for my intake new extractors coming and PFC
Cleared most up for me!! Thanks heaps!! Still confused a out my
Mates sensor at his air filter, may have just been a re routed air temp sensor since he did have a cut n shut intake.

Most likely a temp sensor as you said
