    hey all

    just seeing if anyone on here has done a fuel cell in a 86 and could you post up some pic's of your setup

    Have a suss there, its not plumbed up but thats in my ke70

    40L fuel cell
    Bosch 040 external fuel pump
    holley lift pump
    1.5 litre surge tank

    I can post up mine when its done, useing a yaris fuel tank 50L with 1.5l surge tank and lift pump and external pump, all mounted underneath because the T18 you can't just seal off the boot area like a sedan.

    is a surge tank necessary with a fuel cell??

    I think you could get away with just using the foam in the fuel cell to prevent surges, however I took the foam out of mine to install the sender.

    mine has a drop section at the base of the tank and is foam filled, so the area with the fittings is always the lowest point, even with only 2-3 litres in the tank.

    I would still always run one, the foam doesn't really stop the surge, it just stops fuel going everywhere if the tank is split. A surge tank would be a must have thing on a Circuit/Drift Car.
