Default Clutch fan VS non Clutch fan 4age water pumps

    Hi Guys

just want to get your opinions on this situation I am currently having a problem with.

over the last 2 weeks I have had the bolts that located my water pump to the block loosen off on me as I drive even with loci tie applied to them.

What I am think it maybe is that the water pump I am using is not suitable for a clutch fan and for some reason that is causing the bolts to loosen, I have noticed that the original JDM water pumps have lugs come out of the water pump pulley seat while the one I have has threads that I have to put bolts into.

anyone have an opinion on this?

    thanks

If you have the pulley on the left then you have a fwd pump and shouldn't run a clutch fan. If you have the pulley on the right, you should get some m6 studs and nuts

are you using, bolt > washer > spring washer???? or jsut a bolt, never had an issues with using bolts instead of studs and nuts on waterpumps

On the water pump pulley/clutch fan just bolts, that has not been a problem , the main issue is the bolts on the water pump that bolt it to the block they are coming loose.

Wrong water pump is the issue which I will just have to get a new one, picture attached is for reference for anyone else with same issue.

I think the front half of the pump is the same, just different back half and pulley.
