    Default 4agze pistons

Hi there can anyone verify for me that the ae101 gtz rods are any different to a 20v rod? Also the ae92 4agze rod is supposed to be abit beefier which includes the smallport and bigport and stronger is that correct? Theres a set im looking to buy on trademe at the moment and ive given him measurements of the rods but he doesnt seem to think the measurments on this link are the same as his. They are ae101 gtz rods that are for sale. Heres the link for the piston sizes

The main measurements you should be concerned with is either it takes an 18mm gudgeon pin or a 20mm pin....

The early model gze rods are thicker than the late model, but given toyota over engineers things i'm sure either should be fine for reasonable amounts of boost.

Epc says that all ae101 4a's ran the same rods. All 7rib 4a's from 88 to 91 ran the same rods( there may be some special cases) which means ae101 and ae92 are different. I remember seeing ae101 vs ae92 rods and ae92 looked thicker

Ok yea they are 20mm gudgeon pin, They are from a ae101 gtz. I also have a ae92 bigport ze that is turbo in my ae85. But im building a smallport ze for it would it be too much hassle to buy the ae101 pistons and rods then swapping the rods from my motor to the smallport? Maybe just get some aftermarket rods? Or just run with the ae101 ze rods im wanting to run 18psi
