There is a vid on YouTube that explains it in greater detail than i can.
Essentially it privides even mounting points for the crossmember to be mounted to the body allowing for correct geometry..

Not sure on the actual performance of them in the real world, but theory looks good.

I just had a watch, it's a good idea in theory, but will only work well if all of the holes in the body are in exactly the same position as the holes in the crossmember. Good idea but seems a little unnecessary

Yeah i also dont know what difference it would make between a true subframe where the mounting points are further apart as in square like in the vid, compared to the ae86s crossmember where they are very narrow.

Wow, great attention to detail mate

I replaced the foam on my fan box at one point and was disappointed by the adhesive on the foam... Was ok for like a week, then it came off and jammed up the fan. Keep an eye/ear out maybe

Installed rear seats and Levin sun shades New parts installed; interior light, fuel door/hatch lever, speedo cable, heater control unit and cables. AC is now completely removed.

The latch is not ae86 specific and sat on an angle and too close to the floor so we redrilled the hole and inserted a rivnut to fit better.
