    Sweet!!!
Yeah i discovered today that my ecu is actually the older B model not the C model which is why my computer using the C model software couldn't see it!!
The guy i bought it off swore blind that it was a C model before i bought it but was kind enough to remove the serial number sticker from the ecu before sending it which would have confirmed the truth!!

Anyway even if the maps aren't backwards compatible i'll just reenter all the data to make it work!
Just to clarify the setup is a 100Kw (ae92) smallport 16V running ST quads, standard cams ( for now) and standard injectors!
Thanks very much for this Ant!!

i thought one of the major advantages to these guys was the ease they were tuned on the dyno.... ie the self tuning software.... the tuners role was mainly one of pressing buttons and making the throttle loads correct till the readins were set by the comp???

i remember dimitri telling me about ant and him trying to use the self learning software on the freeway.... funny times but on a dyno it should be a peice of cake??

good luck, but i recon the adaptronic forum would be the best place, but they will only be start tunes not much better than what you got i think

ah that is a problem And another one is that a lot of newer lappies don't have com ports becuase of this new fangled bsu or whatever you youngens call it hahaha

the cable that is needed is a ?d-sub? 9 pin cable with one female end and one male end! I bought one from jaycar for 8 bucks!
I am totally prepared to send you through $20 if thats whats needed to get it done!!

Yeah there are maps on the adaptronic site but the closest is for a 20V so not quite right! (as in barely runs!) And as i understand it the adaptive tuning is worked out via the air fuel ratio, which is read from the 02 sensor. Normal narrow band 02s read a very small band of the ratio and the adaptronic needs a wideband 02 that reads a much wider band and i don't have one of those
Anyway its hard to go through the adaptive mode when the car will barely move!

Easy. Get on Ebay and get a USB-Serial adapter. Then you can use any laptop.

The software for tuning is called Wari and is available for free download from Adaptronic.

yeah, but it doesnt work too good with quads.

turbo or single throttle na yeah, but its too hard to hold the car at 1 load point/throttle position long enough to for the ecu lock on.. that and you still really need a wide band 02 sensor, which most people dont have.

yeah i remember u sayin... but i was more aluding to his concern over tuners .... even a ham fisted monkey with enough time on the dyno can get it right... and the dyno should have the wideband sensor right???

if it barely drives, barley drive it to the dyno.....
