Default Price of an average AE86 after release of ZN6?

After "illegal copies" of Initial D came to us in ~2001 and people without employment/ too much time could use the internet to access Japanese content, and getting sideways was now called drifting etc... the price of some AE86 cars and parts went up. Once considered rare, the availability actually improved with the internet.

With the release of the ZN6 (Toyota 86 / Bee R Zee) some AE86 cars may come back to the market, at a cheaper price.... ????

The introduction of the FT86 will see a renewed interest in the older ae86 initially... Like any famous persons death, memoriabilia jumps whilst the part time fans get on it, but after a while the prices drop back to normal. I see the same with the ae86.

Check out peter brock stuff on ebay, things with his signature is worth no more than things without and probably 1/10th of what they were going for weeks after his death.

kind of like the price of old mini's went up when the new mini was released and slowly settled after a while.
ae86 prices will most likely continue to rise though, not because of the new gt86 but because most of them get written off or get scrapped due to rust/damage.
i'd say the factory original ones will skyrocket in price, this includes mint adm 4ac versions.

only time will tell...my money is on deminishing prices as parts have a finite life but there may always be renewed interest as long as kids grow up watching initial-d and actually own/drive one long enough to apreciate it.

i once came across the mintiest ADM 4ac sprinter for 5k..sadly i did not have 5k at the time but if i did, it would have been mine..

so in my mind, 5k is maximum for a mint ADM spec sprinter as i know, and every other rubbish i wouldn't pay anymore then $1000

i dont think FT86 will have any effect on how much the AE86 will cost now, even though FT86 was built based on the AE86 concept, its a different playing field all together as i see it
    dose
