Only thing I can think of is to flip the drum around and bolt it back on and pull it as hard as yyou can (without pulling it off the stands
Hi all,
I'm trying to pull the centre out of my F series diff but i can't seem to get the axles out. There are no circlips holding them in at the hub ends so i'm a bit confused. All i can see on the end of each axle is a bearing but surely that's not all that's holding them in, am i wrong?
Cheers, Brendon

Should just be 4 bolts holding axle bearing housing to diff housing, and yeah if you dont have a slide hammer you can do as above and bolt your drum on backwards. Then might need a bit of effort breaking the seal on the center but other than that shouldnt take longer than an hour to replace the center (providing no problems like above though, haha.)

It's a full custom setup with ally brackets behind bearing housing for twin rear calipers, so no drum brake . So all i need to do is press it off using bolts or just keep pulling on it till it comes out.
Put a wheel back on loosely and use it instead.of the drum

Gunner blew 6 diffs over january lol
Good way to break a drum.
Wheel on and hit the wheel with a hammer, obviously steelies not 15x9s
I like to bolt a chain to the wheel studs and use a sledge hammer or heavy steel bar to slide hammer it out. Well that was before I bought a slide hammer anyhow.
Even if you've got the most basic of welding skills and some scrap steel you can just make a slide hammer. I long steel tube, get a sledge hammer n flatten the end, then put in a vice and curl it into a hook. The just weld up a base plate and sliding weight. Mines about 6ft long cause some axles can be super shit to get out.
