Default Greenwoods old ae86 off season spruce up! (56k unfriendly)

Hey guys have been drifting jasons old 86 for a season here in WA, now the seasons finished and got used to the car decided to mdify it etc.

Last round i blew up the small axle t18, so ive got a E-series diff to bolt in with locked centre.

Throwing in a set of coilovers as the old suspension started to leak and a new Dmax bodykit ariving soon from Empire aero cause i smashed it up gd lol, + fixing up a couple of oil leaks. Then a re-tune up the boost abit see if i can get 250hp from 240hp, increase the limiter to 8k and thatll be it an back to drifting

    pics:

E-Series housing with 86 mounts welded on, and welded centre bogan spec about it. one sway bar mount is off so gotta take it back

    Rear suspension setup

Front BC Coilovers sleve over type etc

Install 1 lopped of the strut and they slide over the top and weld around the bottom, sorta just like a sleeve kit but they are a full strut combo minus the stub/hub axle bottom

will update once i have the diff fixed and struts welded following install

    +1...

    I rate these coil overs....
    Very good quality...
I use them... as does both my house mates....
And I will be gettin another set for my 86...

But on a negative note the spanners suplied are totaly useless as the adjustment rings are machined without a descent edge for them to grab on and are no where near the right shape...

ahh really only had a quick spin with them oh well just a spanner hehe, but good to hear that you have had good experience with the coilovers as ive bought them with lack of knowledge about them on reliabilty and performance etc

As Out of the box they're supossed to be set at 8 front and rear..
on both me and my freinds set the rear was set at 16.. which is REALLY FREAKIN STIFF
Currently running f11 r10. need a front sway bar though...
Thats daily driven setting to... still pretty compfy... Or maybe I'm just used to it.?

Never bother to turn them up all the way to 32...
Goin from how the car felt when I first fitted them and the rear was at 16 I would think 32 would be almost locked solid...

I remember seing greenwoods car for sale... I thought it was a good deal.
Looks like a lot of time and effort was spent on that car...
Be good to hear your opinion of these coilovers on a track car..

yea should be interesting to see what dampner setting suits best, pretty much ill start from 8 f and r then work my way up from there dont think ill be going past 16 though, 8kg and 6kg springs will do most of the work in a 900kg car lol

Coilovers look good, interested to see how well they hold up and how they perform.

With the stub axels, did you chop them off some old struts (probably a yes judging by the pics of them)?
