    Default shortening 4 runner diff

    Hey guys just wondering if a 6 stud diff can be changed to a 4 stud and if its worth it? I can get the diff pretty cheap its out of a 87 sr5 hilux? Just wanna know if its worth it?? Thanks guys it'd to go under a Sr20det ke70 I'm going to start shortly

    you can get it done. Dude welds plugs into current stud holes, machine the front flat and the machinist drills 4 holes at 4.5" diam.

    find a yr22 tarago that's wrecking and find out how much he wants for the diff. then do some simple maths. cost of hilux diff + above work vs cost of tarago diff. Unless you must have a g-series, then, you don't have a choice.

    cheap diff plus $1000+, doing mounts(properly), shortening axles and housing, re straightening housing as they bend/buckle with heat(from welding mounts etcetc), converting axles to 4 stud

    OR

    F -series y22 $150-300 diff, plus 300-500 for someone to do mounts for you

    You guys pay a grand to get that work done? You dudes are getting hella ripped. I think my whole diff with shortening and restudding plus s13 rear brake swap cost a grand. The rear brakes cost me 250 to do.

    Think I'm.just gonna go r31 diff and leave it full width and get so bolt on flares as ill have s13 front end
    Suspension anyways
