1974 MX22 MARK II CORONA HARDTOP COUPE - Awaiting a full restoration
nice
dose
Finished the car at 2am this morning.... By 9am, I was competing in the ACT Sept 2012 Motorkhana..
Had a great day. The car actually feels like a car now, and not a brick with wheels
I double entered the car with a good mate Robbo (TTZ32Driver - forum name). We both had a great day. Considering all the work I've done on the car this week, and without even it having a test drive...
Few minor probs, but nothing major (G/box oil started overflowing from shifter, and the battery smashed thru the side of the battery box)
Here are a few vids. I am filming it, so in these vids, it's Robbo driving my car....

looks hott
Just thought I would post a huge thanks to Jo for letting me drive this weapon whilst I didn't have an 86 of my own.
I had a ball at the motokhana, the car drives and handles really well. If there was ever any doubt about the setup for my next build driving this car in anger has put them to rest. In short: I want!
This is the first car I have driven where traction is simply optional, you could choose if you wanted the rear to grip or not purely with how much throttle you applied. That suited the tight test tracks perfectly, once that handbrake is sorted this thing will be a force to be reckoned with in motokhana (if you ever want to actually drive it seriously!).
There were points of the day where you couldn't help but laugh at how easy and fun the car was to chuck around... very jealous!
Here are a couple of photos of the car courtesy of Craig, both have me at the helm, were people just not taking photos when you were driving?
I still have to go through the footage from the GoPro, I have a couple of videos of you as well I think, I will try to get them up on here in a couple of weeks.
Former Cars: 1992 300zxTT ***SOLD*** ----------------1984 Daily 20v AE86 ***PARTED OUT*** =(
1983 Daily GZE86 **No Longer**sniff**-------------------------1984 JDM Daily ***SOLD***

Glad you enjoyed it Robbo.....
You are welcome to drive my car anytime mate.......
Once I sort a few more little things, it will really be a great car.....
Re; Handbrake; In the next week, I will pull the hydro handbrake out of the gold AE86, and fit it up. This time I will leave the factory handbrake as well,as it was a pain in the ass just having the hydro in the gold 86...

livin it JOjo, its come along way, no longer looks fully sick, looking forward to seeing this at raleigh
It now has that neg camber you were calling for Joel. neg -4.5 deg to be exact
Oh, and also, the car currently running the T18 Drum rear end with TRD 2 way from my gold 86. Not ideal longterm, but at least I have an LSD until I get a bigger custom diff setup.
