Default Spring height + weight vs. ride height!

yo. looking at getting springs for my second car, ive only ever run coilovers in my 86 so need some specs and pics of ride heights, mainly for the front.

have 170mm springs for rear, need to figure out what to get for the front
(yes i know, this is going to be dumped. its a te72, so it has to be.)

*e7* preferred, but anyone with fixed springs (on perch) please assist!

also note: aiming for 60mm at the rails, with an evenish stance.

    blair.

This will be too low for your suspension to operate with any degree of effectiveness, for any purpose.

Just using springs that low is lunacy. Shocks to match at a bare minimum, IF you can find shocks with a stroke short enough to suit.

Your rear bumpstops will need to be either cut down most of the way or removed entirely. Major guard modification will be required if you want to fit a rim and tyre package that is anything other than stock.

For the front, if you want to go to a height matching the rear, you'll be lucky if you can even install all of your suspension components. LCA and ball joint angle will be almost beyond their range of travel at rest. Castor rods will probably foul the swaybar.

    Too low without major work.

You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

i think my springs were about 170mm free height with about 7kg springs.
will confirm if u want to know for sure.
    but mine is low low,

i dont have any issues with swaybar and caster rod clearance..

The simple way to estimate is to gues 250kg per corner, and work out the loaded height of your springs from their rate and free height.

Compare their loaded height with the current loaded height of your setup and see how much it'll be dropped. Gives a rough idea, though always a bit out in reality.

Urgh, another thread cleaned. Another forum member expressing an opinion, another member over re-acting.

Are they the same rear as a AE86/E7?

Oh... I just read again and you want springs at the front to match?

What rate are you running in the rear?

This is a good setup. 2 coils and sitting on half a bump stop. Handled awesome.

I know you are not after an opinion but if you are wanting to go that low I would just get some cheap coilovers for it, if you are not planning on sliding it or anything.
