    Default Spring cutting?

    Hey guys i have lowered springs and i need them cut, btw theyre on my ae71, what do people charge to cut them? i dont mind if a home job or whatever but i just dont want to do it myself

    Been told by an engineer who makes the coil springs for a well known company, as long as it's not more than 1 1/2 coils, it's not too bad. An angle grinder, as above, is the weapon of choice.

    Indeed, Im of the opinion that cutting springs isnt the worst thing you could do. Though within reason of course...

    Will you remove the springs to be cut?

    DO not pay someone to cut your springs but haha, if you have purchised an aexx you should learn diy things like this yourself otherwise our car will owe you alot of money by the time your done.

    By the time you pay someone to remove / re-install it isn't much more for a shitty set of king springs etc..

    But yeah cutting springs isn't all that bad, providing you don't cut too much off.

    remove springs altogether,fuck handling yo,but really just trial and error til you get the heightyou like,if u slam it,itl drive like a heap of shit on cutties with standard shocks,i have rear ajps 4 kg springs thatl tuck half tyre on a 185 55 14 and red tokito shocks for sale if keen

    I think most of us have done it at some stage, but i'd be safe in saying we're not too proud of it after the first couple days of seeing your ride slammed into the weeds, happy smiley face has worn off. lol.
