    Default Rear Toe descussion

i just had a wheel alignment done last Friday and i had the rear toe set to a total of 1.7..now i forgot if it was toe out or in silly me!

but regardless i just want to hear peoples opinions on experience whether it be for track and grip or for drift etc.

What have you experimented with and what have you learned from experience?

    it actually is, my AE86
have adjustable rear links all round.. and we tuned the rear end toe at the wheel alignment shop...yeah i was surprised myself..

i know from my last wheel alignment it had 0.5 toe on both side with standard arms and the car lowered.. now its roughly 0.8 on both side after playing with the adjustable T3 arms
we only played with right bottom long arm because the right side was off sitting at like 2.40 toe, so we matched it with the left which was sitting close to 0.8 or abouts then total toe became roughly 1.7, both side was pretty much even afterwards..

i should of had gotten a print out of my wheel alignment, =[

none because im a race car driver..

but the diff does have a re-welded mount where it got fucked up and im assuming the japs welded it back to place...but that still doesn't explain how we were able to adjust the toe in the rear lol..

unless if the diff is bent, it should toe out one side and toe in the other /----/ or \-----\

i personally would allign the diff off the chassis rails then allign the front off the rear

Toyota live axle rear ends all have a small amount of toe in built into them from factory. The fact that your total rear toe has changed is only possible if he diffs been bent or the wheel aligment machine isn't accurate however.

all axles with power are live, s13's have lives axles too, so does my n13 pulsar

i wheel allign cars with solid rear ends all the time there never deadstraight, why you alling the front's off the rear then do your total toe at the end

    Diff sounds bent.

Might toe out on one side 2mm, angle that back in 1mm and I bet 1mm toe out will magically appear on the other side.

Jimmee1990, where did you get that info? All my diffs have always been 0mm toe, unless bent.

or bent axle so the hub is out, thus putting the wheel out
