    Bought a few more nice things for this, as well as still working away tidying everything up before it goes back on the road. The drivers seat I had before was getting a bit small so bit the bullet and bought myself a Velo GP90, seriously the most comfortable and well made fixed back I've ever sat in.

    Finished off cleaning up all the suspension and replacing all the bushes that were looking a bit sad, and finally it's back on it's wheels again. Didn't realise how much lower the RunFree bumper sat compared to the standard one with a lip until now, will be 50mm max off the road with the sills at 100mm so we'll see how long it lasts. Finally now I have a better driver's seat, my gf has claimed the old one and wanted to be able to do passenger runs at sprint days etc so I bought her a set of harnesses to go with it. Will probably look horrible with my bright orange driftworks ones but who cares.



    Gave the Streets a quick clean and a little polish too, can't decide whether I want to leave them a little weathered of fully restore them. Kinda like the rough look with them.

    From what i've heard you won't regret going to a Velo one single bit!

    That will be my seat of choice if I decide to get heavily into track work later on

    It's more comfortable sitting in it than the standard JDM seats, you're welcome to come try it out after I finish making the rails to bolt it in.

    Seriously unhappy with the Bride rail I have, was nearly new when I bought it and after less than 2 years the sliders are loose and the mechanism for locking it in place sticks. One of the welds on the body side mounts has cracked most of the way through too. I'm making a new set from a set to replace it from Velo universal sliders and making all new mounts on the body side, as I need to get it a lot lower than I could with the Bride rail as well so I have enough room to wear a helmet.

    Yeah im not a fan of the bride rail either.
    Mines stiff as fk even after greasing

    Definitely rate Velo Gp90's, by far the best bang for buck seat on the market imo. Harness looks cool aswell (y)

    Did a few more little things to this, put some new TRW brake pads in the front to try as I have run out of new old stock Bendix Metal Kings (best street/track pad ever but long discontinued).. Mocked up the drivers seat and the Driftworks harness I got for myself ages ago but haven't got around to yet.

    I'm going to do a weld in brace between the rear shock towers and use that as the mounting point for the shoulder straps, and weld some eyelets onto the seat rail mount for the waist straps. That way I can just un-clip the harness off the eye bolts and fold the rear seats back up when I'm driving the car on the road.

    Finally got the car back on the ground now too, after cleaning a lot of little things up, getting Chris to put the new Shockworks valve code in the dampers, some control arms I extended 20mm and replacing pretty much everything else suspension related the car looks a lot cleaner and will be a bit better to drive as well.
