looking good man. how hard was the quad light conversion going from slant front? and where'd you get the pinstripe?
Hey guys, new member on the site here. Name's Jarrad. Thought I'd get a little more involved in the Toyota community.
Been on Rollaclub for quite a while now but expanding my horizons.
I'm on club permit, as you can see - but not in the TCCAV. Actually registered with the Pontiac car club.
I go to a few events here and there, not a heap.
Basics: 1984 slant front corolla, purchased over a year ago now. Pretty sure off a member from this forums but I can't remember.
Had quite a bit of rust in the rear and a dodgy repair.
Now with a quad-light conversion.
Suppose the easiest way is to migrate a bit of my thread over to here.
First step for me was to start hacking up the rust.
I stripped it completely and made up some panels to weld into place.
Once I'd done that, I fibre-glass filled the gaps, followed with plenty of sanding and bogging.
It got to this stage after that:
Similar repairs followed in the wheel arches:
Once the repairs were done, undercoat, rubbing and painting followed.
The lights themselves are off an RT104 Corona, which the bases were modified and welded to fit and mount on the rad-support of the corolla.
You might also see that the door-frames have been painted black. That was my dad's idea so I thought "why not?" give it a go, see what it looks like.
I don't mind it actually.
Front comes off...
Front goes on...
After fitting the lamps (if you have more detailed questions, ask me
So all of that was done over a year ago now. Car is still going well. At this point in time it's my daily driver! I just drive it and enjoy it.
Here is a photo of it as it stands now. You may have seen it at toyota winterfest. Fender mirrors, 14x7 wheels, coilovers.
I've got a 5kc engine sitting on a crate along with a 5 speed waiting to go in
Cheers guys, all comments appreciated

Quad light was really easy - just need flat front panels for it. They all bolt straight up.
Bought the quad light surrounds off eBay and then modified the flat front grille to suit.
The quads themselves are corona ones, cut and welded to fit KE70 mounts.
Pinstripe.. we just had it laying around in the workshop. You can buy it on rolls, pinstriping tape it's called.
This sort of stuff:
Hot ke and welcome
