Default Waterpump viscous/non viscous. Please help

Hey guys I went to get a waterpump for my 16v smallport out of an ae93 today and the spare parts guy said there is two different versions. These being a viscous and nonviscous pump
The car is an hour and a half away so I can't just check it out
So I'm wondering if anyone could tell me which one the smallport has

Thanks for any help guys and gals
    Much apprieciated
    Walter

Maybe he is referring to the FWD vs. RWD pump. RWD pump has a longer snout and bigger bearing to compensate for the viscous fan, whereas the FWD pump has a shorter snout and it cannot be used with a fan as the bearing isn't designed for that type of load.

Timbo is right, you will need the "non viscous" pump". All you need to do to make sure is see that the length is the same.
