I wouldn't bother with the factory intake pipe, they aren't the greatest for airflow because of the corrugations and multiple bends. I would use a tight radius mandrel bend with a short joiner to the throttle body.

I run an old model AJPS adjustable panhard rod in my car which allows me to re centre the diff once the car is lowered.

His new model is lighter, has a different turnbuckle and includes a better diff side bush (something to buy later!)

Dave from AJPS sells the bush upgrade separate which still fits my older model bar.

As you can see below the bar I had on the car had a normal cotton reel type poly bush.

The new bush type includes a crush tube, this means that there will be less wear, dilation and flex on the limit.

So pulled out the bar, cut out the old poly bush with a hacksaw and installed the new bush and crush tube

I have been using second hand rusted mild steel 4-1 headers bought from japan which are probably 20 years old. They cracked at the collector one track day, my swaybar/diff hits the exhaust on full extension and I have no flex in the exhaust. I had the crack welded up but again the collector cracked due to age/my shitty driveway.

So i bit the bullet Power Craft 4-1 N2 spec brand new ordered through Garage 88

Cant wait to go home and get them on

There was a bit of a delay with getting these on as I lost my only car key!

Managed to get in and get 2 keys made up.

I was happy with the design of the old headers, although being mild steel they were rusty and probably 20 years old.

One issue with these headers was that once I installed my oil cooler sandwich plate my large TRD oil filter did not fit, this meant I had to use an OEM small type filter

Pulled the old extractors off and the damage was very bad and not worth repairing a second time, the metal has cracked right next to the repair done during a track day at wakefield

Comparison of the old header vs the Power-Craft 4-1 N2 with double slip joints,

They provide more than enough clearance for my TRD large oil filter as well. I did have to angle grind a bracket off the strut tower to install these, i dont the the ae86 has that bracket, my KE70 didnt

Shes not the most beautiful thing, but the engine starts 1st time every time, and there is still alot more things to be done!

Those headers would be worth more than the engine lol

Not really, havent taken it back to the track yet. but i didnt buy these for performance gains, my old ones were cracked beyond reasonable repair, these also allow me to use my trd oil filter as mentioned above
