    Default Non Toyota question

    Hey I no I should prob just post this on a deferent forum but is there any one on here that's familiar with the sr20det I've got an s14 and I noticed that there's been a wire that's burnt out I think it's an earth wire but not sure exactly that's how I found it it connects to some bracket on the firewall and then I think It runs to the coil packs but not sure
    Some help as to what this wire does would great and why is completely fucked!

    Just looks like a small earthstrap. Common cause for this to happen would be your main earth straop from chassis to gearbox might have been left off at some point,causing this small wire to take the load during cranking....fit a decent earth strap and replace the damaged one and you should be fine...!

    Yeah I was going to replace this one and re earth it somewhere better in the engine bay I'll also double check all my other earthing points while I'm at it! But it's raining now would be a perfect time to go for a drive to (^_^)

    That's just the usual back of head earth wire. Cause is as oer pt_y2k.

    Get a voltage stabiliser and ground kit on the car STAT.
