that one was probably taylors, hes sponsored by rockstar energy drink now, used to be the electrician that worked in my dads factory.
my brothers currently building a buggy to compete in the finke and the australia safari.
we will be down there again next year.
we recently did a trip to mexico to watch the baja 1000, trophy trucks are intense, the finke is impressive on a motorbike side of things, im looking to enter in a year or two on the bike, then maybe go do the baja the year after.
funniest thing about the finke is you just crank along and come across random settlements of drunk hobos riding motorbikes around without helmets and stuff.

rockstar had HEAPS of cars there this year.....i think there was 2 pro buggies, one was a 360cu and the other was a turbo VQ35. they also had a trophey truck.
one of them crashed out tho
in other news.....ive already printed out the CAMS forms to get an off road racing license and ive been onto the aus offraod racing forum and checked out the classifieds
im looking at getting into the super 1650cc class...they are almost all 4age!
there are a few rigs on there that arent sporting an engine, so id like to build up a nice and strong 20v. you would be surprised at how cheap these buggies are
Fuck yeah, was it macca that was racing?
20V buggy would be fresh, what do they weigh in that class? Power to weight would be decent id say.
RT142 Estate.
AJPS.
Thanks for the pics and videos. I love all that stuff, and am amazed by the work that goes into it. And also the suspension travel on the more extreme trucks and buggies.
I'd love to get out and do it too, on a motorbike, but I'm not sure my balls are quite big enough.
Hen
macca went in it in 2007 on a bike......you have to be a total nutter or the sickest kent out to do it on a bike....those guys are CRAZY
im not sure the weight involved, but in scruitineering on the friday night, they were moving the buggies around by getting ONE guy to lift the front of the buggy and drag it around....so yeah.....the rear would be a different story tho
only good looking ones are cool man... haha!
