    Car - mx73 cressida

    motor / part in question - towing capabilities

    problem - not a problem Im just curious what the gcm on my cressida will be, Im wanting to set up my car for towing a car on a car trailer, im guna do a manual conversion, replace all rear wheel bearings and shocks etc, just wondering if this is failure waiting to happen or a plausible idea?

    oh yea my ae86 (900kgs) plus dual axle car trailer (pretty light for a trailer)

    See if you can find some specs, but don't think it would legally be able to tow that much.

    I would defiantly say you wouldn't be able to tow with it if the car and trailer weighs more than the car. You would have to call up transport and ask I suppose.

    yeah that's what i was dreading :/ in that case. there any way to make the car capable of towing more? like brake upgrades?

    to make it legal (upgraded brakes thus handling more or chassis mods) it would have to be engineered and probs tested to the shit house by that engineer

    In QLD you cannot modify a car to have a larger towing capacity, I looked into it for my hiace I had ended up selling it and buying a landcruiser with a lot of change left over haha.

    i was told. that i can tow anything up until it weighs. than my tow vehicle, but again its just a mates word
