Default Ae71 small port conversion tacho help

Hey guys I've just finished this conversion. We would like to use the stock tacho. However, I'm not sure how to connect it up. Afaik you take a loop from the small port coil on the negative side to a wire on the stock tacho.
Correct me if I'm wrong please.
Does anyone know which wire it is that I need to tap into colour and location would be good. Or if anyone knows which on it is behind the dash I can get to it there also. Thanks in advance.

I do know how to do it as I did it with my old smallport conversion, only thing is off the top of my head I can't remember the colour of the wire. When I get home from work, I'll have a dig around and see if I can find a photo or if not, see if I can remember which one it was in the engine bay.

I think off the top of my head it was a thin black wire from the drivers side wiring loom. (Where it comes through the guard into the engine bay)

Can confirm it is a thin black one on the ke70.... Which you'd think is the same on the ae71

Had a quick glance last night to see if I could spot that wire. Unfortunately I have all those wires now cut off and tucked away in some conduit. I am now fairly certain it was a thin black one knowing that Matt thinks the same.

If you wanted to do a test, get a length of wire and connect it to the -ve side of the coil and just tap the wire against each of the other wires coming out that side of the engine bay. One will make your tacho jump
