    Default Radiator question

I was just wondering if an ae86 radiator would fit into a ke70 at all cos my standard KE one is a bit old and I'd rather get a new one, and I found a 52mm aluminium one for an ae86, the main reason I wanna use this rad is that the bottom hose port on the KE one is a fair way away and I'll have to run a fair bit of hose to make it work with my 4age set up? Do I guess what I'm trying to ask here is will it bolt directly in place of the standard KE on or will I have to make up some sort of bracket thing to mount it

You'll need to make something up, ae86 rads mount from the top and ke70 rads mount from the side don't they?

Yeah there's 2 bolts on either side of the KE rad that bolts it to that rad support, so your saying that the 86 ones bolt to the top of that front rad support is that correct?

86 Radiators sit in two rubbers at the bottom and are held in by brackets at the top, you would have to weld brackets either side of it to bolt it up. That's assuming the width etc is the same, there were some ke70 alloy radiators on ebay a while ago try searching for them instead if you can't weld alloy.

There is no specific KE70 listing in Ebay alloy radiators that I can find.
I bought an AE71 thinking the rad support was the same, but they are not - Different mounting altogether.

Yeah that Mazda one would be perfect! I'll see if I can get the port on my rad moved to the other side one of my mates did that on his bluebird when he put an sr in it and worked well

Well the rad that I've got is the standard KE one and the bottom port is real far away from the water return thing and I'll have to run a fair amount of piping if I want to use it thus the need for a rad with the ports on the LHS

See what outlets a TA22 alloy rad off ebay are on, they look identical to T18 one which mounts the same.

Yeah, but KE70 and AE71 look identical, but they are different.
AE71 rad into KE70 fits on 1 side, miles out on the other, but you can make it work with some "L" brackets.
