    Default Lower control arm identification

    Hey guys/gals

I have extended lower control arms in my AE and the balljoints and bushes are flogged out so I'm going to replace them

The problem is im not sure if they are sigma or xt130 or ....

I'm hoping someone on here can tell me by the length

The length is 395 from outer edges. I can get photos if need be

    Cheers

    Walter

    Have you got them out?
Sigma's will have some form of modification to the bush to make them fit - usually ground down on one end and easily picked.
Some Sigma's (the really long ones) have a bolt in ball joint, where as the early sigmas are press fit.
XT130's are press fit with cir-clip.

I went with what you said and I assumed they were the xt130's as it has a cir-clip and there is no noticeable grinding marks
It does look a little dodgy at the rear of the control arm but to me it just looks like its how they were casted

I purchased a set of ball joints and bushes
I went to press the ball joints in and the hole on the contol arm is about 1mm to small to press the new ones in and the bushes looked a tad to small also

Ill take some photos and place them up tomorrow to see if I can get this sorted

Sorry mate, didn't mean to give you a bum steer.
Sigma's also need a touch up on the crossmember end with a grinder, so sounds like could be sigma's.
    Photo's would be the go.

look like GE/GH sigma's to me.
If your replacing the bushes there are 2 different types.
Make sure you get the right ones.
