    Exclamation ae86 W Gearbox crossmember

    hey guys,

just curious as i saw on the old ae86dc there were some discussions of converting to put W5X box in E8/E7's and some people were saying you can use auto ae71 gearbox crossmembers and their bolt in ? can anyone confirm this or even the auto cressida gearbox crossmember rumour?

    regards
    david.

MX83 auto crossmembers are very easy to get and their the same as the auto ae71, again no good for an ae86

no I didn't. I have a bit of a packaging problem that looks like is going to stop me putting my 3sgte engine in. So I don't have a need for it.

I used and ra60 celica crossmember with auto ae71 rubber. Slotted the mounting holes, used ae71 mount rubbers where it is bolted too. They are rubber doughnuts with metal bush.
