has to be something with heaps of stretch.
where im up to with one of these is, ive removed the vinyl and all the contact adhesive but while doing that i ripped out some of the bog =(, so im back to that step, once thats done i'll re skin it.
if you have once that isnt in terrible condition or you can do the prep work im happy to have a go at covering it and we can work out a mates rates type of deal

from what i've been told the dash doctor coats his dash's in fibreglass resin before reskinning, so not a bad idea.
you can buy carbon covers from yahoo.jp aswell.
i think a vac formed plastic clip on cover could be a good idea aswell, was thinking about checking it out myself as an alternative to dash carpets

had a look into vac forming plastic covers going to be quite expensive to make the molds have to basically carve it out of wood so that it will be able to take the pressure and not collapse. going to give fibreglass a bust and see how difficult it is to make it look nice.
will probably add a mm or two to compensate for thickness. hows the skinning going?

I'd like to try it myself first, but I'll keep that in mind!. I finally found vinyl that has some stretch, so I'll give a go over the weekend. How are yours coming along?

Haven't been able to attack it lately, currently doing seats for a member.
I'd like to make sure the filling of the cracks holds up over time. Dont want to sell a dodgy service.
My work place is considering a vac former though, if that goes ahead.... well it would be very good for all
