Im pretty sure you can use a o2 sensor off a various toyota models.
As long as its a four wire o2 sensor. With a heater circuit?
I cant remember what model toyota o2 sensor i used on my blk top.
But i used an ntk o2 sensor. The part number is oza395- e9.

Just as an aside, an 02 sensor is not going to throw a silvertop computer into limp mode.

It'll bring on a check engine light (sometimes) but not put it in a limp mode.

There is probably something else wrong.

It'll only bring a check engine light on when you bridge the terminals in the diag box... I ran a blacktop without one for months with no issues.

What is your symptoms suggesting the car is in limp mode? Do a diag check also

my symptoms are what i thought was limp mode. Eh well almost every time i start it up(not always because some times itll start fine and then once it warms up or so it seems it) it runs uneven, is dumping fuel like there is no tomorrow and when driven it has no power really and then (because i have no tacho yet) when it gets to about 3 or 4 k revs it backfires massive and wont rev any higher. the odd time it runs in what i call normal mode it idles perfect runs sweet and revs out to the limiter without hasitation.

When i started doing this build i was not a member of dc and hadnt very much auto wiring experience even though im a sparky. i had a specilist come help me wire it from old diagrams and even though he was so maticulas be triple checking every wire both ends he had not much 20v experience.

    any ideas???

the diag connection is still there but im not sure how much it is connected to sad face.

i've used a aftermarket 02 sensor before (not on a 20v) sometimes they work well - you also have to make sure they got the same perimeters and crystal then just wire it in...cheaper option with a little morefuss
but being through what i've been through i'd almost take the cover off your ecu and see if anything has happened inside, capacitors may have leaked out

First you need to work out your diagnosis plug and check what fault code you have if any.

If you have a check engine light connected, you just need to bridge the TE1 and E1 pins in the diagnostic connector and it'll flash any current codes.
