Default 4AGE + KE70 radiator - any off the shelf hoses?

Hey all, trying to just get the car on the road so figure that I'll just use the ke70 radiator.

I'm sure other people have done this too so was just wondering if someone would be able to point me in the right direction as to what top/bottom hoses to use?

    Woud be great,

    thanks.

Depends on what kind of 4age.

I just got a coat-hanger and bent it into the rough shape I needed, then I went to repco and dug thru the shelves. I think its 30 or 32mm hoses you can use.

    just buy a 4age rad or s13.
something like v6 magna top hose and 3.8L commonwhore bottom hose are what i used for s13. pick them up 2nd hand for around the $60 mark...
will keep it alot cooler than your ke radiator.
but it pisses me off when people assume your hooning cos your car is loud, has bald tires, a roll cage, fresh bake and dinted bumpers!!
Or driving in a wolf pack.

i really recommend getting something a bit bigger unless its been reco'd, if you cant afford to buy a used radiator to suit then you really shouldn't be doing the conversion yet.

my 4k used to get hot with the stock ke70 rad. i have a ae71 rad here so you can use the stock 4ac pipes. its about 1-1.5" wider too. if you want it $40+post (mostly your paying for my effort lol). i removed it to upgrade to a bigger one.

edit: im using a 180 or r33 rad. the guy at the import shop couldnt remember what it was.

Go ahead and do it, a ke radiator is fine in the short term if its in good nick. My ae71 radiator is recored and my 20v runs at 70 degrees with it. KE isnt that much smaller really. Just make sure you have a good thermofan attached to it. A different used radiator is not a preferable upgrade in my opinion. Better the devil you know.

Once again the sky is falling.

I will for now, car has been off the road for too long. Has a decent 12" thermofan and a shroud so I think it should be fine, temp gauge too so if shit gets out of hand then I'll know.

Off to the shop with a bent coat hanger it is then!

Found an ae71 radiator lying around in all my junk which I forgot I had. Mounted that up with some alloy plate - I thought they bolted straight in? But ah well.

And used 4ac tophose and some ford courier bottom hose.

Now if onyl it would stop running like shit...

    Thanks all.
