T50 gearbox filling question
Recently I carried out a motor and box swap from one at to another.
When I did this I forgot to drain the gearbox/bung it up
So when I was pulling the box and motor out the box tilted back and a heap of fluid poured out of the shifter and spline area.
Once it was all in I dropped all of the trans oil and filled it up at the bung half way up but it only took 1.3L of oil. Supposedly it's meant to take 1.7L
I saw that there it another bung almost at the top on the transfer case. Is this where I am meant to fill it?
I carried out a little test and if I fill it through that bung it pours straight out of the bottom drain plug
If this is not where I am meant to fill as it looks way to high which would over fill it. is just the 1.3l to the midway bung ok and
What do I do about the transfer bung? Do I fill it or leave it? It has no oil near it
Also here's a pick so you know what I'm talking about.

Pretty simple bro, don't need to over complicate it
all you need to achieve is the fluid pouring out the side of the fill hole once you have fully filled it, then you know you are overfilling it and just chuck the plug back on
as previously said should be about 1.7 litres
as above, undo the fill plug, fill though the shifter hole till it comes out of the plug and then put it back in

thought thats why it's called a fill plug that goes on a fill hole. Fair enough, never done it that way before.
Will give it a go next time I re-fill mine.
Most people don't have an oil pump so its easier to just go through the shifter hole, or I think if you buy the little 1L squeezy bottles you can fill it through the actual fill plug.

Squuezy bottle are awesome, i usually pump in through filler plug and stop when it spits out into my eye balls

Cheers guys I ended up using the filler plug.
Does anyone know what that other bung is for?
