If uve completely bipassed the heater, did u just block the heater outlets off or join the back together? Also might seem a silly question. But how do u bleed the cooling system? There could be an air pocket that is constantly re occurring?

bypassed - hose from back of head into the coolant rail that goes back to the water pump.
heater in and outlets have a cap on them so nothing gets in.
bleeding system:
Fill it until no more coolant can go on, turn it on and run allowing bubbles to come out. rev it to 2500/3000rpm for a few mins and idle keeping coolant waiting to go in.
run it for 15mins
there is a place called road & track at ipswich specialise in 86's aswell as all other toyotas im getting my 7a built there atm,
look at there website and maybe give him a ring and see what he can do for you his name is terry
I just read your other thread. You have a BHG. Combustion gases are entering the cooling system pressurising it and causing you the hose blowouts and radiator leaks. Your top hose should get nice and hard as it is being pressurised. Your overflow bottle is overflowing because the excess pressure is forcing the coolant out through the radiator cap.
Fix is replace the HG. You said it was fine until your waterpump failed. That is a good reason for an engine to have localised overheating and cause warping and damage.
So to make sure that is defiantly you're problem can do the leak test like I said.
