    Default Drift Practice, Whats needed?

Was thinking about going to Archerfield this wednesday night to give this drifty stuff a go, might have a cage & seat by then? but what is the basic requirements, Car & Helmet?, where do I get a cheap helmet that will be to the standard in Brisbane.
Anyone else thinking of starting up this year?

all you need to drift at archerfield is a car, money and a helmet.

They don't scrutineer youre car unless its a comp and even then no ones ever looked over my car.

I bought a shitty open face helmet from a motorbike shop in slacks creek for $50 or so. They just need to meet the aus standards which will be on a sticker on the back.

Keep it sensible into turn 1 and have fun

If you haven't done it before i would recommend you go to QR and go on the skid pan first.

I think there are sponsors on secret drift who sell helmets. Or jjust get them from a motorbike shop, as long as they are ADR Approved.

    couldnt agree more,
i did skidpan a few times, and i learnt alot, it boosts your confidence alot also.
just try figure 8s around the 2 cones and donuts around a single cone, and if you have enough power try ovals around the 2 cones.
    and just have fun

offtopic: i saw your car (assuming in yout avatiar) at parklands, looks neat
