Nope, I put a electronic dizzy in my 4ac and didn't have that issue, search on google for fitting elec dizzy to 4ac and on one of the forums someone made a clear diagram even I could work out so follow that and you'll be right
anyone else put an electronic dizzy in a 4ac and have the tacho stop working?
dont think it would need a tacho booster. also when u connect the tacho wire to the neg terminal of the coil it doesnt want to start untill you stop cranking.
just thought id ask here before i went outside in the heat lol

check out my build thread: http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/fo...-shuttle-wagon
Also you'll need the coil that came from the ae 82 or similar, don't think you can use the 4ac coil

Sounds like you may have connected something wrong. The stock ballast resistor is bypassed when cranking, so maybe something funny there is causing your no start during cranking.
I'm using the coil off the ae82 , ign to +
And trigger off the electronic dizzy to - and ign to the ign module . Ill have a play later with it.
