Somethings wrong there.....the t3 knuckles give you the same lock as power steering knuckles not sure why they would be hitting the lca sure you put them in the right way? Id also be putting the tie rod on the inner hole
Car:
KE70
LCA extended 40mm
T3 castor arms
Shockworks coilovers
T3 knuckles
T3 steering arms extended 40mm
4 degrees camber
3-4 degrees castor
Problem:
Only getting small amounts of lock even once ive cut the LCA (its unfinished!) because the heim/rose joint on the steering arm goes so far out of alignment it wont let it get anymore when in the standard position. If I swap it to the top like so, it works a bit better but would this give more bump steer?
All help would be appreciated as i was getting more lock with my standard ke steering set up :/

Also the tie rod needs to come up through the bottom of the knuckle
This is my setup
Was about to post your tie rods are the wrong way.
Are the knuckles on the right side? If they are on the wrong side you will have 0 locks haha
I'm pretty sure you have the tie rod spacers on wrong( the little spacer that are on the knuckle bolt), both of them should be on the bottom of the knuckle.
Another thing that will be contributing to the binding is the amount of camber your running. i'm running 2.5 degrees of camber and i find that its pretty close to the limit the tie rod ball joint can take with out binding on full lock. Pretty sure regular tie rod ends have a larger range of ball joint movement then the t3 ones.
those tierod ends are junk, get some regular balljoints
I know the tie rods are the wrong way *It also says this in the first post* I have another pair of cut and shut knuckles ill give a go instead of these
cheers for the help tho guys!
The spacers are designed to help fix bump steer there is no wrong or right way to have those spacers on. Something must be bent on your car or you have the left knuckle on the right hub as it makes no sense as to why it's slamming the LCA
There is a right and a wrong way to install those spacers, there supposed to lower the tie rod end position to put it at a similar angle to the LCA. this i supposed to correct/help bump steer.
Just to revive this thread as i found some good info, there is a way to fix the binding issue. You need to use high misalignment spacers like these:
The only thing is, that you need to sleeve the knuckle bolt hole down to a smaller size bolt, but this will nearly double your heim joints range of movement and fix the binding issue!
Exellent info and link You are definatly right, but my point being if you pay good money for these parts you would not expect to have to modify them to work, whether it's with a "drift" alignment or not. For the new panno I've allready bought high misalignment heims now I know what's going on
