    Default Fitting Alloy Radiator Help

Hi I just bought an ASI Performance alloy radiator for my AE86 and have trouble fitting the bloody thing,
when I place the rubber mounts in the bottom brackets it seems like the radiator is too close to the light brace panels and the to brackets come no where near.
when I take out the rubbers it still fouls a little and comes close to fitting.

Has anyone had this problem? Or know what to do?

got a pic? from memory i had to cut some of the panel away (sadly) to make it fit and i also had to space the top two brackets up to hold onto the radiator

Sounds pretty shit, from what others have said I was under the impression of them being a direct fit. I'd be asking for a refund or get them to fix it. If its marketed as a replacement for a Ae86 rad it should just bolt in

yep my rad did the exact same thing

im going to get the mounts cut off the radiator and re welded further towards the front of the rad so it sits back slightly

I think the same thing happened in my last car... I just bent the little brace panel a little. Worked fine after that

I have fitted a few of these before. You need to trim the light panel about 2mm where it has a little protrusion. You also have to trim the front edge of the radiator on both sides. This is the same whether it be Koyo of cheaper radiators.

    Cheers
