Default Toyota 86 Convertible - On Show February 2013 Geneva

The Geneva motor show will debue the Toyota 86 Convertible concept car next month.

The FT86 first debued at the Tokyo motorshow in 2009 and was available for purchase in 2012. So if history is anything to go by it will be at least 2014 before the car is available for purchase.

Rumours are the FA20 engine currently delivered in the 86 / BRZ's will be retained, with no additional power increase evident.

It is also unlikely that Subaru will join the convertible venture, though what really should be asked is why don't they include a turbo or a higher powered 6cyclinder engine upgrade as an option.

I have to admit it doesn't look bad from the outside, but toyota need to do something about the interior.

However, it is the FT86 Coupe concept and there is still hope

The interior is different between those cars...

The stationary car has 1 piece seats (ie the headrests are not detachable) also the gap between the top of the tire and the wheel arch is too small. There are several more irregularities too (The dash of the one with the wave crashing in the background is in shadow, despite the shadow given off by the car being behind it). All of the pictures of the stationary car are heavily Photoshopped.

Plus you never know what interior will actually be sold domestically (if they are even sold here at all ) and the perfect example of that is the putrid red interior not being selected by TMCA.
