    Default 4agze problems... SA

picked up myself a ae82 with a 4agze conversion a month back, was going sweet until half way to work one day and it started the sound like a lawn mower. still runs but sounds like running on only 2-3 cylinders and fuel is leaking straight out of the flange between the headers and exhaust.

couple of mates think its injector problem of maybe an ecu problem.

just wanna know if anyone has any ideas as to what the problem could be?

fuel is leaking out of the flange between the headers and exhaust???? really???

if that is so, then you have an injector stuck open or one cylinder has no spark

Like said above, check injector O rings could be wedged and injector stuck open which can cause a hydraulic lock in the combustion chamber if that happens say goodbye to your engine.

From factory, injectors 3&4 (the ones that are leaking) share a trigger from the ECU. If this wire got shorted to ground (either somewhere in the loom of if the ECU shat itself somehow) then the injectors would stay open and drop lots of fuel into the inlet.

May be a long shot, but is easy to check with a multimeter.

It's definitely fuel, happens as soon and I turn the engine over. Hen I think you might be onto something! Ill have a look at that tonight
