FS: Tomei M7960 plus external Gate
Hey Guys
Have a Tomei M7960 for sale.
It has done about 5000km on a mates 180sx, when the waste-gate flapper cracked off, the rest of the turbo has suffered no damage.
The waste gate flapper is a known problem on these and procharge.com.au has quoted me at about 180.00 to fix the flapper.
My plan was to weld the housing shut and convert to 2.5inch v band(about 160.00 from brae auto fab) and run a 38mm ext gate on my 4agte, But I have decided to sell this off and run a smaller turbo charger for better response on the little 1.6.
I have already clocked the housing to suit but this can be reversed in about 10mins.
I want to sell it all together so whats included is
1x M7960 turbo with snouts to suit sr20 install and internal gate actuator. no oil or water lines
1x jjr 38mm external gate
Price 750.00 ono

Hi this turbo looks awesome, is it equivalent to a t28? is that a t2 flange?
Have you still got the "flapper"
Might be keen if you think of separating.

Nah Haven't still got the flapper, the shops that quoted me for fixing it said they would be installing a new one not repairing the old one anyway.
A local bloke is interested at the moment but won't know for sure till Thursday. So he gets first dibs on it, as it saves me posting, If it doesn't sell to him I may separate .
But the turbo won't be advertised for less then $600.00 even by its self.
Apart from the manufactures defect with the waste gate its still in perfect condition.
Bit larger then a t28, equivilant in size to a 2871 or there about, was designed by Tomei to be a bolt on swap for a sr20det and yes its t2 flange.
Ok guys the local sale fell through as the buyer wanted to concentrate on getting his gtr back on the road , instead of throwing money at his datsun ute. So I will now seperate the package 550.00 firm for the turbo and 70 bucks for the gate as , this is now on ebay as well so it shouldn't last long.
