i second jacobs yarn. 15x8 0 offest. ive got that on my ae86 with standard gaurds. i folded the inner lip in recently then put spacers on for them so it would sit properly so that gives you an idea of the clearance

I bought rota grid classics 15x7 0 offset for 750 new and put some 195 50 15 federal rsrs new for 440. Ive been down the second hand route before and unless you could have the runnout and checked for buckles before purchase its a gamble as i found out. not everyone can afford new watanabes. Oh and 15x8 -0 will stick out up front as i found test fitting with king spring lows and 3degrees neg camber and 205 50 15 tyre. rear was perfect flush so that why i went with 7s.

Jason: I've got 195's on my 15x8 0offset grid V and they are still well within the gaurd on the front. And those gaurds haven't been pulled or anything. I only lipped them so I could run it with spacers and super low with max castor wound in. I'm a lil unsure as to how you got 3 deg camber without a longer control arm hence making your wheel sit further out to start with. I'm running cusco tops at max camber and only get around 2 deg. Plus 205 tyres means they will deffs stick out.

15x8 0 offset wheels with 195/50 tyres sit perfectly on 86's. As everyone has said!

Even 205/50/15 on 15x8 zero offset fits fine on an 86, 195 would have loads of space.

Spose the real question is what is the cars intended use. if its for grip no point running a 195 50 15 stretched on an 8 inch rim with zero offset which will change your scrub radius and destroy the cars handling and produce zero grip. if its for stance or drift then no issues. Best just go to the wheel supplier and have wheels test fitted as everyone has different views on the subject. good luck with your selection.

195/50 'stretched' on an 8 inch rim produces zero grip and destroys the cars handling is quite a big call
