Jasonae86, can you please expain to us how scrub radius, directly in relation to 15x8 0 wheels on an ae86, will destroy the cars handling?

195/50 on a 15x8 has been done for years, pretty much proven to be the most cost effective, least modification fit which offers a range of cheap good tires to give great performance over standard wheels and tires.

i believe in my own opinion that if you want a good sized offset wheel size that produces good grip simply buy the right tyre size reccomended for the rim of choice. people say 15x8 0 offset wheels fit with heaps of room but i found that isnt the case on my ae86. when the suspension compressed the tyre rubbed the front bumper where it bolts to the guard. so without modification to this in some way i dont believe it is a perfect fit or heaps of clearance wheel size. Ill take back my comment on destroy your handling as you can adjust and modify your scrub radius with changes to camber and castor but running large offset wheels not specifically 15x8 0 offset can effect the way your car will handle.

Take a federal rsr 195 50 15 reccomends to be fitted to a 5.5 to 6.5 inch rim. I believe dependant also on brand if you want to RACE your car competively 195 on a 8inch rim is probably better for drifting than racing because of lack of grip caused from under tyre. in fact under tyre is probably how you can get the 15 x 8 to fit up front.

^^ in theory i agree...but you are honestly thinking about it too much...a decent 195 on such a lightweight/low power car will provide adequate grip until such a point as your driving ability is pushing the limits of street tyres

WHEELS: DORI DORI MESH 7JX15 OFFSET-2
    TIRES: POTENZA RE-01 195/50R15

if you're too scared of 15x8's just go 15x7 with 195/50, still looks ok.

    further keiichi specs on wheels

    not intending anything bad jason.
just pointing out that im sure keiichi wouldve been through alot of setups and had settled on either 195/50/15 on a 15x8.5 +3 or a 195/50/15 on a 15x7 -2 rim.
me personally i run 195/60/14 on rear and 185/60/14 on the front, wheels are watanabe 14x7 +6, i also run a 5mm slip on. i have 100% stock guards (not even lipped) and even still at full compression i see guard marks on my rear tyres .
looks and performance wise i'd say a 7.5" to 8" zero offset rim would be perfect
