Default brake pedal gone hard/pressure on pedal

Hey lads, was driving home from work just now and when I was coming down the road to my house presses the break pedal but the was fairly hard upon just barely applying pressure to it and the breaks were very poor, they were working perfect to this point, any thoughts or solutions?

check if the vac line from the inlet manifold to the booster is still connected. follow the line from the booster to the inlet. if its connected and the line has vacuum when running. your brake booster is out.

Thanks for the response lads, is that the 8-10mm line that rises vertically out Id the intake manifold just before it meets the block? Checked it this morn and all seems connected?

follow the line FROM the brake booster. there is only one vac line that comes off the brake booster. make sure its connected and has vacuum when running.

Just checked there the hose is connected with no leaks, I disconnected the pipe at the brake master cylinder and there seems to be good suction, any suggestion, thanks for the feed back lads!

yeah, sounds like the booster might have given up....

When you turn the engine off, can you hear any air escaping from around the booster area?
