There has been quite a few rumours floating around about a 4 door GT86 being released to the public, as the engineers during the design phase of the zn6 were more excited about producing a sedan than the 2 door sports car.

Here is a couple of photos up on the web of what the sedan version of the 86 would look like.

I wonder how successful these models would be if they were to be released to the public. In other news, the coupe is already a concept car and has been well received world wide and engineers from Toyota have also revealed that a supercharged + turbo charged higher output engine is being developed as well.

Exciting times for Toyota as they have a very popular little car

Yuk... They need to ditch these and make a hatch

I mean its true to the original and the market they are really competitive with at the moment is the 'hot hatch' market

by doing stuff like that they will be destroying everything that makes the car special. i believe forced induction will do the same and destroy it too.

The fat reared one wasn't a wagon dude

    Still has a normal boot.....

I say give me one that is near identical to the current car than functions as a hatch.

I luff hatches, which is part of the reason I got into ae86s in the first place!

I know robbo, I don't like the fat ass one either, that's why I said I wanted a wagon version. Not some bloated j-lo looking thing
actually isnt that fat one the hatch concept? i agree the hatch should look the same as the normal one but obviously with a hatch functioning rear end

Dunno, the only reason I said it wasn't a wagon is that it looks to have a normal boot door with a split on the last pillar for a hinge. So it doesn't look to be a hatch either
