steering wheel boss for standard wheel?

my knees crash into the steering wheel all the time,want to space the steering wheel closer to me but keep the factory ae86 wheel.
does anyone make one of these?cheers!
i was thinking a spline to spline boss or something

I've done it before, easiest way is to get another factory wheel and chop the "boss" part off and weld the two together. Not worth trying if you can accurately machine and weld to make a jig to hold both pieces in the right place though. or an engineering place would be able to do something, but don't expect it to be cheap.
