Default NSW, Reputable engineer for engine swap.

Hey guys done some research and turned up some old threads,
im also aware the list is ever changing for engineers due to a crack down by M & R services within NSW

looking for some one to work with during my engine conversion who's fair and reasonable,
    want to avoid defects.

can anyone point me in the right direction be good to get some feed back and do some research before the transplant happens late next month

kind regards and thanks in advance

    Jack

Anyone listed on the RMS approved engineers list will be able to sort you out.
Go on the RMS website and look for somone close to you, give them a call and go from there.

My advice in dealing with engineers is to talk to them first, explain what engine you intend on putting in the car and then don't say anything about what you think you need to do, but listen to what the engineer tells you.

I used consulmotive once, if he passes your car, you will never get defected.
He is over at peakhurst or near there

I wouldn't mind engineering my car eventually but it's already built, will this make life hard with the engineer? Also can I just get the engine engineered?

what are you doing? I know of someone who is not far away from being ticketed in NSW who resides in Canberra. He is also a member on here so 4agte / SR / beams swaps will be somewhat straight forward

I have an na sr in my ke70 which is my track car/ daily because I don't have the room or money for a tow car an trailer.

I only want the engine engineered to keep costs down. if I engineered the whole lot I'd have to change a lot of stuff and if I ever prang the shell it's too much money down the toilet.

Not really, there is no point for a legal stand point as it all has to be done to be worthwhile (roadworthy). The only advantage is maybe to keep the plod of your back but even then it would be questionable.

Cheers man that's a valid point. If the engine was done it would keep most cops off me and I'd just get the odd too low defect etc but there's always that chance someone that knows what they are on about will get me properly
